What is wrong with milk and why is it considered one of the top ten toxic foods.

BY: Larae Chambers
Thanks for letting me share this...  SRN

Recently I was asked what is wrong with milk and why is it considered one of the top ten toxic foods. Here is my reply...Read with an open mind and know I want the best for your families health.

And finally milk...I could write pages on this topic but will try to keep it simple. The product you purchase in the store is watered down, hormone infested, synthetic vitamins added, pesticides and herbicides infested, antibiotics prone, lactose removed, zero nutritional value crap.

Yes, I am a dairy farmer and this is what the FDA does to our milk. First they drive out all the little farmers so they can have large farm manufacturing facilities where thousands of cows are housed and fed CORN. These facilities do not feed grass, possibly hay. The milk is then pasteurized (cooked) at such a high heat that it literally kills all the beneficial vitamins, minerals, omega 3's that you need. They add these back in later.

I can't imagine the replacement vitamins are Better for you then the original ones. Then they homogenize the milk. this basically means making it look pretty for the customer, because who really wants to see cream actually float on top of their milk?

They do this by destroying the fat molecule in the cream so it doesn't float and instead mixes in with the rest of the milk, in destroying this molecule it makes it impossible for your body to digest. Therefore you don't get the important omega 3's fatty acid that is oh so beneficial! and somewhere in all this the milk also loses its lactose, natural sugar.

This makes the milk extremely difficult to nearly impossible to digest and I can't imagine why they have taken everything out of the milk.

This is why people are lactose intolerant, you'd be surprised to learn I have numerous lactose intolerant customers who can drink raw milk with great success! WHY? because its raw and natural the way God made it, full of everything your body needs.

Organic milk in the store is still destroyed by the pasteurization process but at least you can rest assured its Cows are more likely grass fed. no chemicals, pesticides or antibiotics and no GMOs.

Best for your health is raw milk with the cream that floats from the farmer in your county whom you can shake their hand and say thank you. I value what I do, and value each Customer, Parent and Child that I provide this product for. I am blessed.

According to information received in the said Journal, pure honey taken with food daily relieves complaints of cholesterol.

Alternative Cooking Methods By: Monty Ellis

Thank you Monty for a great series on
Alternative Cooking Methods... SRN

As I surf through various websites in my quest to increase my
knowledge base, I often find some really interesting things. Much of
what I see from the homesteading sites along with the chicken coops
and gardens have to deal with food and cooking. Being a bona fide
foodie and a reasonably decent cook in my own right, I always smile
and have an appreciation of some of the meal preparations that I see.
Many are down right mouthwatering. Kudo’s to those folks for taking
the time to share their talents with the rest us!

But at time’s I can’t help but to think how easy it is when the cook
of the day probably has a nice homesteaders kitchen with either an
electric or gas stove. Perhaps even a wood fired cook stove!

So, what are some of the alternative methods to prepare food that is
fit to eat? Perhaps not gourmet or worthy of posting on the net, but a
healthy nutritious meal none-the-less. Below, I will attempt to
outline some alternative methods of preparing food. Many methods I
have personally done either by neccessity or just by plain curiousity.
Those that I have not had experience with I will note.

First, I would like to briefly touch on the commercially available
backpacking and general camping stoves. With the exception of the
alcohol fueled “beer can” stove, anyone that has done any camping or
packing has experience with them. Most are either propane, butane or
white gas fueled and simple to use. With these having been covered
lets get to the fun!

  • The “beer can” alcohol stove.
Since I mentioned this already I’ll cover it first. These are simple to make from
any aluminum can and use denatured alcohol as a fuel. We use them often
when pack camping or on the homestead property for simple things for heating
water or a small can of soup.

  • Engine manifold cooking.
saus 2
Having spent a career in the fire service I
spent a lot of time in fire camps. One of things about fire camps is that they send you out with a ‘sack lunch’. Often these will contain something that is best heated up so they will add a piece of foil with it. Simply wrap the item up, generally a buritto, and place it on the hot exhaust manifold. Within a few minutes your ready to eat. It’s my
understanding that many off-roaders have adopted this same technique. One of these days I’m going to put a potato on my manifold when I need to make a long trip just to see if a potato will cook. I know for a fact that a burrito will heat up!

  • Hot rock boiling.
.

This is one that I have not personally tried. I have
read about it and have talked to some that say that they have tried it
with good results. Simply take a bucket or pot with water and toss in
rocks from a campfire. I’m a bit leery of this since the sudden
cooling could cause the rock to shatter. I know that putting a wet
rock INTO a fire will have that effect. Without further experience I
can not endorse this method. Back in 1981 I was wrong once, I suppose
it’s possible that it could happen again. Just kidding… If anyone has
any experience with this I would love to hear how it worked out.

  • Rocket stove.
Now this is a fun one and makes a great little back yard
project. Other than the sharp metal edges I think that it would make a
great kid project. We have found the the higher the chimney the more
effective the stove becomes. We have even roasted green coffee beans
over this stove!

Food Storage Tips for the new Prepper...

We are all in different places, each one has to prepare for where you are...
But you have to start NOW!

#1 Finances: You can start a food storage closet with as little as $10 dollars a week up to what ever works for your budget. If you don't have a budget and have the freedom to get it done now, go for it!

But the truth of the matter is that most of us are struggling to keep food on the table today and don't have a clue how this prepping stuff is going to work for us!

Well you can do it! Where there is will there is a way... There is more food waste in America than in any other country, nobody in America should be with out food. We have been taught how to overindulge only on the best, or so we think and we waste what others call a meal. I think every American should spend some time in a third world country and really have the opportunity to now how blessed this country has become.

Unfortunately do to our spoiled overindulgence is why we are prepping now.... History repeats itself!

People have become lazy and expect the government to keep placing entitlements in front of them, leaving as little as possible for them to be responsible for. Most people understand that the gravy train will end, somehow, someway.... and someday. And we have lots of other countries happy to help with our destruction, deciding we have had far to much for far to long!

#2 Something is better than nothing!

Food is a start , but we all know that "water we can not live without" Depending on where you live will factor in how you store and how much. Be creative, if you live in an apartment you will obviously have to do some things different than the person living rural.

Not everyone will have an opportunity to "bug out" as they say, or can move and change your whole live to accommodate prepping for something that we are very unsure of. We can feel the change in the air and our gut tells us things are changing, we see things changing all around us but no man know the time or day...

Start with simple staples, foods that fill empty bellies...as you have these items stored you can start to add more variety that will help to make bean and rice dishes more tasty. Remember if the day does come, it won't be about organics and the best of everything, it will be about keeping your stomach full. Don't think for a minute that if you get to the day you have to use your food storage that things will be the same old same old.

I see so many people thinking they will have enough to live the same old good life. Think again... Be wise with your money and what you store to fill your belly.

Below are a few articles that will get you thinking and started.... remember it's just a start once you get started you will go from a walk to a run.... Try not to focus on everything you will need all at once. Start with your food and water, then move on to an alternate cooking surface and lighting, then maybe heating or protection methods to defend you and your family. If your not a gardener think about getting started this year with seeds and producing some basics.... I think you get the picture. Find a happy medium that will work with your finances and your family. Don't wait, make a plan and start it today!

It's never to late until it's to late, and none of use know the day or hour, but we all know it's coming...

Always hope for the best, but Prepare for the worst...
